10 Most Popular Recipes of 2021

With the start of 2022 tomorrow, I thought I'd take the time to look back at the past year and share the 10 Most Popular Recipes of 2021. This year has brought a lot of new recipes, experimentation with healthier options and tons of baking. Keep reading to see what everyone has been enjoying from my blog. Do you have a favourite? This top 10 post has always been a favourite of mine to write. Even when I first started blogging 12 yrs ago, I always enjoyed looking back and seeing which recipes my readers seem to gravitate towards. Would it be desserts, or savoury dishes? Healthy or Indulgent? I never get tired of seeing which recipe has been a hit, at the end of each year. I am often surprised as to what recipes are a hit, many times you guys surprise me and a recipe that I didn't really anticipate being extremely popular, takes off and has thousands of views. While other recipes I'm sure will be a total winner, fall flat. So, it's always fun to see what y'all are int

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Be safe and enjoy all the magic the holiday season brings! Welcome to week#3 of the December 2021 " You're the Star " Blog Hop! Red Velvet Waffle

This easy waffle recipe is made from scratch, with ingredients found in any pantry. Paired with a delicious cream cheese glaze, these colourful waffles are the perfect Christmas morning breakfast. Jump to Recipe When the holiday's come around, I often struggle on deciding what to make for breakfast. Holiday dinners are always easy, as we usually stick with the traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and veggies. But breakfast always seems to get the short end of the stick. These fluffy Red Velvet Waffles are the perfect special holiday breakfast idea! What ingredients are used to make Red Velvet Waffles? In this recipe, I use many of the same ingredients found in traditional Red Velvet Cake: flour, eggs, cocoa powder, sugar, buttermilk, eggs and red food colouring. Is pancake batter the same as waffle batter? While pancake batter and waffle batter are similar in the way they both contain flour, eggs, leavening agent and sugar; waffle batter is thicker and is usually sweeter,

T his linky party is the perfect place to show off your creativity! Share your blog posts, for a chance to be featured next month!       This week is my last week of work before Christmas holidays. One of my favourite things about my job is that I get a few weeks off during the winter. Which is very welcome, since I have been busy preparing extra Holiday offerings to sell at the Education Center this month.  Having the week before Christmas off will also give me a chance to get my Christmas baking done. I have all my ingredients, now all I need is the extra time.  __________________________________________________________________ Welcome to the second week of the December 2021 blog hop called " You're the Star " ! Quick & Easy Mini Meatloaf Muffin Recipe

Quick and Easy Meatloaf Muffins are made with ground beef and topped with a sweet and savoury sauce. These meatloaves can also be made with ground turkey, for a healthier option. Ready in under 20 minutes, they are perfect for a busy weeknight.                                                                       Jump to Recipe It's comfort food season again and with it comes a food bloggers worst nightmare... early darkness! Early darkness means scrambling to get dinner done before the sun starts to set. That is, if there is even sun that day, LOL. Thankfully my amazing SO, gifted me a lighting system for winter photos, or night time shoots; last year for my birthday. That way, I can still get my food photography in when I have time and I don't have to rely on the weather. Anyway, about these meatloafs.... These meatloafs have changed my life. My SO and the kids love meatloaf, but I'm not a big fan of how long it takes to cook. After cooking and serving people all day, I

Share your blog posts, for a chance to be featured next month!       Today starts the second week of December and I am counting down the days until Christmas vacation here in Canada. One of the perks of being a lunch lady, is that I get 2 weeks off at Christmas, with the kids. Those two weeks will be spent baking Christmas cookies, and desserts, celebrating with family and relaxing. Oh and celebrating my 44th birthday as well. Our house is fully decorated for the holidays and I am slowly getting into the holiday spirit. WELCOME to the December 2021  " You're the Star " Blog Hop!
