Pink Cream Soda Cupcakes (Only 2 Ingredients!)

Cupcakes using only 2 ingredients? All you need is a can of soda pop and a box of cake mix! This simple and delicious recipe hack will have you baking up all imaginable flavour combinations.  Jump to Recipe With grocery prices on the rise, we take advantage of flyer sales to stock up certain things. While I love baking cakes from scratch, cake mix comes in handy when I want to whip up a quick dessert. I love the versatility of cake mix. You can make a cake, as per the directions on the box, you can also turn cake mix into the yummiest cookies, as a crust for a decadent cheesecake , or you can add a can of soda pop, and make a delectable, fluffy 2-ingredient cake. Which is what I did with these beautiful cupcakes. I had a bit of cream soda left from a 2L bottle we had opened at the beginning of the week, so I decided to mix it with an angle food cake mix.  You could use regular cake mix for these, I bet they'd be a bit better than the angel food cake ones I made. Though t...

These Strawberry Cupcakes are made with delicious yogurt. As a result, they are beautifully light and fluffy! Topped with strawberry buttercream, they are the perfect treat for Valentine's Day.  Jump to Recipe Ah Valentine's day. The day dedicated to the ones we love. Valentine's day really hasn't been a big celebration in our house. I remember being in 1st or 2nd grade and a boy gave me a stuffed teddy bear for Valentine's Day. My Mom made a huge stink and told me to return it. She even went as far as to call the boy's mother, to tell her that it wasn't OK for this boy to be giving me a stuffed bear, and that we were too young to be boyfriend and girlfriend. Thankfully I wasn't old enough to be embarrassed, but I sure was upset that I couldn't keep the teddy bear, LOL. Now that I'm grown Valentine's Day still isn't that big of a deal. I make it a point to tell and show my SO and my kids how much I love them every day. We don't need a...

Conversation Heart Blondies

Tender chewy blondies are studded with adorable conversation heart candy and topped with cherry cream cheese frosting. Simple to make and oh so cute, these blondies are a wonderful dessert for Valentine's Day! Jump to Recipe Valentine's Day has never really been an exciting holiday for me. Growing up, I was labelled a nerd, so it wasn't until my later years, that I actually had someone to celebrate it with. Even now, it still feels like a regular day to me, because I make it a point to show my SO and the kids that I love them every single day; not just one special day a year. Sure I might get flowers, or chocolates, but that doesn't mean as much as getting them on a random day throughout the year. Even if we aren't gung ho about the holiday, it doesn't stop me for getting excited when I see all the Valentine's candies. Which was the case, this past weekend. I stopped by our local bulk store, to get a few baking supplies and couldn't help myself from wal...
