30 Minute Dinner Rolls

Fluffy fresh rolls in 30 minutes, from start to finish? So simple to make and wonderfully delicious, these rolls are a perfect addition to any meal!

Is there anything better than the smell of fresh baked bread? Walk into any bakery and once you smell that fresh bread, you can't help but want to buy a loaf. Warm bread out of the oven with butter, is heaven for me. It takes me back to my childhood, where my Mom would often make fresh bread to go with our dinner. Those nights were special and anytime I smell bread baking, I think of coming home from school to the smell of yeasty bread dough.

While I love the ease of going to our local bakery and picking up fresh baked bread, there is just something amazing about the smell of fresh baked bread permeating the house. With today's busy schedules, it is sometimes difficult to get dinner on the table, let alone make anything extra such as fresh bread.

What I love about these 30 minute rolls, is that they take a short time to rise so you can have them made and baked in 30 minutes. It really can't get easier than that, and they are totally worth the little extra effort. Fresh rolls for any day of the week, perfect to go along with soup or chili! The perfect recipe for any beginner bread baker.

The trick to these rolls is that the dough isn't like regular bread dough. It is a bit more wet, therefor sticky. I'm sure if more flour was added to make the dough nice and smooth, these totally would not work in 30 minutes. So, don't worry, sticky slightly wet dough is good! These bake up beautifully and are fluffy with a pillowy soft inside. The kids absolutely love these, and I'm very happy that I have an awesome quick dinner roll recipe, for when it is super hectic in the kitchen, like during the holidays.

Ingredients needed to make 30 Minute Rolls

No Yeast Old Fashion Cinnamon Rolls

These delicious cinnamon sticky rolls have been in my family for over 40 yrs. No yeast is required, so you can whip up a batch of these in no time. Still tender, sticky sweet and delicious! Ever since I can remember Mom would make these as a special treat. It wasn't too often, but every once in a while, we'd come home to these no yeast cinnamon rolls, as an after school snack. Growing up, this is what I thought cinnamon rolls were. I wasn't aware that there was a yeast version of cinnamon rolls. As much as I LOVE the yeast version, this no yeast version seems to make an appearance more frequently here at home.  Since there is no yeast in the dough, it does not need to rise for 30 minutes before being rolled out and baked. When I worked in the retirement home the residents were always excited when I made these cinnamon rolls. They said it reminded them of their childhood. It was amazing seeing how happy a simple recipe could make them. I don't make these very often and ...

50+ Creative Cottage Meal Ideas

When the warm weather hits many of us head to the cottage, to enjoy the sunshine and time near the water. Instead of always packing up burgers and hot dogs, I've rounded up over 50 creative meal ideas for delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Ever since I was little my family always enjoyed a few weeks camping at a near by provincial park, during the summer months. When us kids, became older and moved away, Mom and Dad bought a trailer which remained parked at a location, so we would often go and visit for a few weeks then too. My mom has always been an amazing cook and with her outside kitchen often made our family favourites, even at camp. Now that my SO and his family have a cottage, we are frequently there for most of the summer. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs seem to be our go to, so I wanted to collect new creative meals perfect to make while camping, or at the cottage.  Breakfast Recipes Healthy Banana Milkshake Thick, creamy banana milkshake made without ice cream, dairy, and...

Sam & Cat Sloppy Waffles

A nod to the popular preteen TV show Sam & Cat, these s loppy waffles pair classic sloppy joes with crisp waffles. Years ago, my daughter fell in love with a kids show called Sam and Cat. This show melds two shows the kids use to watch together. It stars Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) from iCarly and Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande) from Victorious. It's a witty and fun show and the kids loved the hijinks these two girls get into every week. In one particular episode, they get stuck inside a secret room, they find in their apartment (which use to be Cat's Nonna's before she moved to Elderly Acres). While they are stuck in the secret room, Cat mentions her idea of Sloppy Waffles, which pairs waffles and sloppy joes. Sam falls in love with the idea and once they are rescued by their friend Goomer, the show ends with the girls enjoying Sloppy Waffles. We recently watched the episode on Netflix, and the kids commented that we should try to make Sloppy Waffles. I thought it wa...
