Pancake Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday; it doesn't matter what you call it, these pancake recipes are sure to make your day a delicious one!
Pancake Tuesday, or Shrove Tuesday has traditionally been the last feast day, before the start of Lent, on Ash Wednesday. In Christian religions, Lent is observed to remind us of the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the dessert. Many people decide to give up something they enjoy for lent, and as a result Shrove Tuesday became a day of feasting, before starting the Lenten season.
Pancakes have become the food of choice for Shrove Tuesday, as they are often made with sugar, fat and milk; and are indulgently delicious.
