Meal Planning is a great way to save time and money, every week!
October just flew by, I can't believe Halloween is on Saturday. I'm not sure if the kids will be going out or not. My daughter would like to, but doesn't have a costume and doesn't like any of my costume suggestions. I guess Mommy's costumes aren't cool enough. I offered her my scarecrow costume and my Sally costume, and received a resounding NO to both of them. Unless she can find something she already has, she may just have to stay home. I did buy some of our favourite candy, so it's not like she'll miss out.
Friday night we had a pretty big line of storms come through. We had to hang out in the basement for an hour or so, just to be safe. Mother nature had to give us one last good show, before the snow comes. Thankfully we are all safe.
We don't have much on the agenda this week, other than decorating the yard, for Halloween. Every year we seem to get it done later and later, due to weather. The storms Friday put a damper on our plans to decorate. It was the perfect day for it, until the storms came through, LOL.
Here is my meal plan for the week
- Peameal Bacon Sandwiches, with Broccoli Slaw
- Baked Ham, with mashed potatoes, corn and homemade bread
- Fried ham (using leftovers), potato pancakes and a salad
- pancakes with fresh fruit
- sweet potato hash, with eggs and toast
- Perogies with onions and bacon or ham
- Leftovers (clean out the fridge)
